How To Become Fearless With Money?

Money is a great tool, but also you can feel its danger. When you are a kid, you are unaware of how parents manage to make sure you get food and all the things you require, like toys. But once you are an adult, you realize that earning money is a hard thing. Consider the fact that many people are unemployed and the fresher’s salary is peanuts. You can’t even take care of yourself with that money. But since you are living with your parents, you have a safety net. But sooner or later, the responsibilities come on your shoulders, and you realize that everything can become dangerous in an instant.

For example, you can become homeless if you are in a rented house and don’t have savings. A sudden job less and you are on the verge of homelessness and potentially never recovering from it.

So what do you do? How to navigate your finances so you never fear them?

Keep Upgrading Your Skills

The times are tough, and it always will be. Make sure you never burn bridges and keep upgrading your skills. If you are in a job for 5 years and get sacked one day, then you will be competing with talents who have the latest knowledge, and you will be left behind.

God forbid such a thing happens, you are prepared mentally that you will secure a job, any job to get things rolling.

Because no matter how strong you are - not getting paid and seeing yourself with anxiety will throw you down.

Keep A Buffer Of Savings

Once you are sacked from a job, your savings get used up before you can find a job. And if you don’t have that savings, then you will be homeless or in a panic without food for a month. You don’t want that, and therefore, you need to start saving from your first paycheck.

Whatever your paycheck is, save at least 20 per cent of it till you accumulate at least 1 year of buffer money. You can achieve this by saving more when your paycheck increases and you don’t upgrade your lifestyle.

Once you have that buffer, you can chill so that if anything bad happens, you can still get a job. Because you aren’t stressed and you have the skill.

The Paradox of Life

The more fearful you are, the more you will land in a fearful situation. The more confident you are, the more you will get out of anything in life.

Remember that the world is big, and you aren’t doing something so bad that you will be sacked. Do your job, don’t go into office politics and always follow your boss's instructions, and you will be fine.

Always imagine the worst, and then you can be at peace. If everything fails, you can crash at a friend's or relative’s place for a month while you take up any job that pays.

If nothing else, you can get shelter at the Gurdwara for the night and food for work while searching for a job to get you going. Remember, when life hits rock bottom, get any job to get you going and then slowly rise back again. You can do it.
